Automated production management system
Aiming to meet the requirements set by the international standard ISO 9001, Promplast has developed and implemented the Corporate Information System, which helps to solve the product quality management problems, as well as problems related to production management and product deliveries.
The specifics of this implemented system is in its close integration of computer technologies, business processes, and economic indicators. At the same time, we attach great importance to understanding of technologies and methods of their integration into business processes.
This combination of software and hardware enables management automation in manufacturing enterprises by real-time tracking of production processes (end-to-end identification). Each product package has its own individual number; therefore, products can be tracked at all stages of technological chain, from receipt of raw materials to shipment of complete consignment.
Pursuant to the section 7.5.3 of the standard ISO 9001:2000, the product identification and tracking system is the most important element of the company’s quality management system, and it provides solutions to such issues as exclusion of risk of delivery of products to customers in course of its production without completion of the established control procedures and necessary technological operations, as well as delivery of non-conforming products.
This system features a completely automated data input process by means of data-gathering devices. At all reworking stages, each box is assigned a unique number containing information about all technical processes used in course of such reworking. Thanks to application of this combination of software and hardware, our customers obtain quality certificate for each unit of their products. This enables us to manage inconsistencies in technological processes and achieve conformity of our products to the strictest requirements of our customers and the market in general.
The automated product identification and tracking system enables the company to perform the following tasks:
- identification of incoming materials and spare parts;
- tracking of marked materials and spare parts during production process;
- provision of information, intended for timely withdrawal of such products and materials that do not meet the established requirements;
- unique identification and marking of ready-made products by one of the methods eliminating counterfeit risk;
- tracking of ready-made products, including identification of packages and consignments, product shipment, customer acceptance and utilization;
- handling of customer reclamations, consignment recall and localization.
Thanks to implementation of the automated production management system, we have been able to make a large step forward in solving the issue of efficient production scheme, have seen the highest quality of business-functional performance, have reduced own costs and, finally, have been able to focus on satisfying the needs of our customers.
